Single

Info
I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing, an old Newseekers hit, was the song the record company wanted her to release, being a little girl approaching the age of ten sounding appropriate. The backing vocals were done by Demi's school choir. My Boy, was written for Demi, hoping she would like it and have it as her single. To be included on the single as a bonus track was Ben, an old Michael Jackson hit.

Recording
Jeff and Chris took Demi into the recording studio for the first time, and went through the three tracks with her so that she could get used to the studio. She went back a couple of days later and was only in the studio for two hours when the three tracks were recorded. The tracks were then finished off at the Abbey Road Studio's in London, made famous by the Beatles. The video for Teach The World was filmed at a local reservoir near Demi's home town Pontypool.

Promotion
The week commencing the 7th of July Demi went to London to promote her single. Performing on GMTV on the Monday and Friday, visiting all radio stations around the country. She also made appearances on Gloria Hunniford's Open House, Sky TV, CBBC, HTV, Nickleodeon, Entertainment Today and many more. While Demi was away doing her promotion, there was a big campaign going on in Wales, with newspapers and billboard posters and thousands of,"Do it for Demi" stickers were given out. The highlight of Demi's week was performing in front of 20,000 people at Party In The Park.
